Creating a Simple Package

Medical Outlook Packages can be simple or complex.  Here's an example of a simple package.  It's just like a regular email.  It has a list of recipients, a subject and a message body.

Move your mouse around the window to see pinpoint help

Additional Feature: Screen Capture

A completely unique feature of Medical Outlook is the integration of Screen Capture technology right into the package.  Use this feature to capture a window from your EMR or Practice Management System and add it directly to your package as an image.  You can then use the built-in image editor to 'mark up' the image with arrows or highlighted areas etc.  Just click the Screen Capture button on the toolbar. (See left)

When Screen Capture is active, the Screen Capture window will pop up.  Adjust your screen (minimize other windows except the one you wish to capture) and click the 'Screen' button.  To capture part of the screen click the 'Selection' button, the entire screen will be captured and you then use your left mouse button to 'select' the area you wish to bring into your package.

Additional Feature: The Medical Outlook Clipboard Manager

In Medical Outlook, we've taken the art of 'Copy and Paste' to a whole new level.  You can copy and paste all types of data (even entire files copied in Windows Explorer) directly into the packages you send.  When you copy something in another application, all you have to do is click the 'Paste' button on the toolbar and you will immediately get to preview what's on the clipboard and then decide if, where, how to place it into the package.

Example 1: A note copied from MS Word or an EMR note window. Medical Outlook has detected two kinds of text on the clipboard, Rich Text (formatted) and Plain Text (unformatted).  You select which one you wish to save into the package, write a short description,  click 'Save Data' and voila, the contents of the clipboard are added to your package as a new note.

Example 2: An image copied from another program (like MS Paint or Photoshop.  In this instance, Medical Outlook has detected an image on the clipboard.  You get to see a preview of the image.  If it's not what you were expecting click 'Cancel', otherwise click 'Save Data' to add the image to your package.

Example 3: Multiple Files copied in Windows Explorer.  In this instance, Medical Outlook has detected that the user has copied multiple files to the clipboard (select file(s) in Windows Explorer, right click with the mouse and select 'Copy' from the menu).  The list is presented to you and you can uncheck any files you don't wish to import into the package.  Click 'Save Data' to import the file(s) into your package.

Additional Feature: The WYSIWYG Note Editor

In Medical Outlook, whenever you see this type of button attached to a note or comments field, you can click it to open the note up in a full sized WYSIWYG editor.
