You need to install Medical Outlook on your laptop, tablet or other remote computer where you may not have permanent connections to your offices main network.
2.
You are one of several members of a larger practice/company that have been asked to evaluate Medical Outlook to see if it's a good fit for your practice/company.
3.
Your company/practice is split into more than 1 physical location with regular staff at each site and no WAN (wide area network) connecting the different locations. You wish to use Medical Outlook but only want to have 1 company presence within the Network (i.e. 1 Medical Outlook Account).
If any of these scenarios describes your situation then this section will give you instructions on the proper way to handle the situation.
Important
DO NOT REGISTER MORE THAN ONCE ON THE HERMETECH WEB SITE! The Web registration process effectively 'creates' your company. Once created, companies CANNOT be merged. It is important that every remote site installation uses the same Medical Outlook account number.
To Begin: If you are the FIRST person at your company/practice to install Medical Outlook then simply follow the steps in the 'First Time Setup' section.
If Medical Outlook has already been set up and configured by someone else at your company and you need to set the same company up at a different location then follow these steps.
1.
Contact the person who initially installed Medical Outlook (their account is the default 'Administrator' account) and have them add you as a new user (Click HERE to open the Medical Outlook product documentation on how to do this). Make sure that you tell them that they need to make sure that you are an 'Administrator' user as well.
2.
Get them to tell you your companies Medical Outlook account number, your new user ID and your password and write them down because you'll need them later.
3.
Now follow the instructions as defined in the 'First Time Setup' section with one minor difference. When you are logging in during the Account Verification step you will receive a 'Warning' stating that someone else has already configured Medical Outlook for your company. You can ignore this warning.
